April:

Time for Warm-Up!

After a surprisingly sunny March – with highlights like the very first birthday bash of our new wine bar – we’re officially stepping into spring. But as much as we’ve been waiting for it, April can also feel a bit overwhelming. Suddenly, the city’s packed, and everything’s happening at once – it’s all a bit of a shock. We feel you! That’s why this month’s theme is WARM-UP – with tips to help you gear up for sunny days ahead. And of course, to make sure April is completely FOMO-free.

1. Social Warm-Up

No better way to kick off the social season than going all in from the start. Countryklubben – a country themed pop-up club with secret guest artists (let’s just say: First Aid Kit and Markus Krunegård previously made an appearance) – is back with their 6th edition. Dust off your best boots, grab a cow-patterned vest and get ready to mingle with Stockholm’s coolest crowd. After that, we guarantee all upcoming social activities will feel like a breeze.

2. Dinner Party Warm-Up

As people are going social again, dinner gatherings are on the rise – making it the perfect time to have some wine knowledge at the ready. At NOFO, we’re convinced the best way to become wine-wise is by sipping and learning at once – meaning another tasting is on the horizon. In the spirit of spring, we’ve decided to leave red wine behind this time and give the spotlight to Sauvignon Blanc.

3. Flower Season Warm-Up

With the most colorful season around the corner, April is the ideal time to learn how to work with flowers in order to make the most of them as decor, table settings or a thoughtful gift. One great opportunity to do so is by joining the flower workshop at Södermalm-based Brandstationen, where a floral artist will share her best tips and guide you in creating beautiful bouquets.

4. Literal Warm-Up

Although it’s technically spring, there’s a reason why April weather is a thing. With a little trigger warning here, we’d therefore like to end this letter with a tip on how to handle the day SNOW makes its inevitable comeback. To not only survive, but even enjoy the freezing days, the best way is to throw on your winter coat one last time and head to Lilla Espresso Bar. This amazingly decorated, Italian style coffee shop at Hornsgatan feels like walking into a movie.
